Currently in post-production, On The Fence details the struggles, mishaps, and unlikely friendship between a young gay man and an immigrant from El Salvador as they attempt to prove the legitimacy of their marriage to the USCIS. After a tense visit from an immigration caseworker puts their relationship in jeopardy, they embark on a nostalgic journey in hopes of reaffirming their bond.

On the Fence is a story that celebrates the misfits of this world and explores the contemporary issues that some face. Set in a tumultuous political climate that encourages divisive language, scorns diversity, and uses fear mongering as a means to exclusion, the main characters, Landon and Mia, manage to see the beauty in each other when others do not. Estranged from their families for different reasons, they find love and support in their unconventional relationship. It is my hope that this film will open hearts to people of different backgrounds and shed new light on the concept of family.
